ニール・フライスタット　Neil Fraistat

メリーランド大学教授（英文学）、メリーランド人文科学技術研究所所長。

1979年、博士号（ペンシルバニア大学）取得。
1991年からメリーランド大学（英文学）教授。
2006年、メリーランド人文科学技術研究所所長に就任。

イギリスのロマン派詩人、特にパーシー・ビッシュ・シェリー（Percy Bysshe Shelley）に関する書籍（電子版を含め）、論文を多数編集、出版している。また、学会発表や講演も多く、さまざまな学会・委員会の運営・理事として活躍している。NEHの主導により設立された、デジタル・ヒューマニティーズ関連の教育研究拠点の国際連携のためのネットワーク、センターネット（centerNet）の副議長を務めるなど、北米におけるデジタル・ヒューマニティーズの推進に大いに貢献している。
