【Summary】
This session provides an overview of three topics related Japanese spatial dataset and products: 1) point cloud data, 2) 3D city models available through "PLATEAU" website, and 3) a metaverse platform. For the first topic, I will introduce point cloud data using examples from the Noto and Shizuoka areas. Participants will experience creating 3D mesh data from point cloud data. For the second topic, using Unity, I will demonstrate how to download 3D city models from the "PLATEAU" and convert them into OBJ format. For the third topic, I will show how to use a metaverse platform together with the participants.
Before starting the exercises, please prepare the following software:
・CloudCompare Latest stable release: 2.13.2 (for creating 3D mesh data from point cloud data)
・Unity 2022.3.25f1 (for downloading and converting 3D city models)

Bringing Shuten-dōji to Life with VR and Generative AI
Jiayun Wang , Laboratory of Hi-Think Corporation
【Summary】
This presentation is to introduce an AI-powered VR application based on Shuten-dōji. Shuten-dōji is one of the Japanese traditional story. This application uses VR technology to visualize the story, allowing users to immerse themselves in the world of Shuten-dōji. It features AI-powered conversations with characters such as Shuten-dōji and Minamoto, enhanced by Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to provide rich background information about the story and its characters. During the presentation, we will explain the current development status of the application, its technical components, key challenges we encountered, and our future vision for this project.
