Kimura Kosuke was born in Osaka 1936 and in 1959 he graduated from Kyoto Municipal Art University. When Japanese modern woodcut prints became popular he made his debut and was soon appraised as a top fiigure on the international art scene. This exhibition focus on his enthusiastic depictions of bunraku and his vivid expressions of traditional culture revived in modern time.
