八村 広三郎　（はちむら こうざぶろう）

画像情報学。工学博士。　

本GCOE拠点のサブリーダーを務めるとともに、「デジタルアーカイブ技術研究班」のリーダーとして、情報系の研究活動の取りまとめを行っている。現在、無形文化財のデジタル化と解析、古典籍・浮世絵等の画像解析、感性情報処理などに関する研究プロジェクトを行っている。また、画像データベース、コンピュータグラフィックス、感性情報処理、デジタル・ヒューマニティーズなどに関する研究プロジェクトを立ち上げ、研究を推進、若手研究者を指導している。
