Ellis Tinios（エリス・ティニオス）

 リーズ大学名誉講師。Dr Ellis Tinios taught East Asian History in the School of History, University of Leeds, for 24 years. In those years, he served as curator for three exhibitions on Japanese art at the Leeds University Gallery. Since taking early retirement in 2002, he has pursued his interest in the illustrated books and prints produced in Japan between 1600 and 1900. His institution links include visiting researcher at the Art Research Center, Ritsumeikan University, and special assistant to the Japanese Section of the Department of Asia, British Museum. He teaches a course of Japanese illustrated books each year at the Freer-Sackler Gallery in Washington, D.C. under the auspices of the Rare Book School, University of Virginia. His most recent publication is Japanese Prints: Ukiyo-e in Edo, 1700-1900 (British Museum Press, 2010). |
