The Art Research Center (ARC) is pleased to announce the release of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris (MAD Paris) Library's collection of Japanese old books (984 items) through the ARC database.

Digitization of this collection began in February 2025 and was completed in February 2026, following three separate two-week digitization sessions. Through the comprehensive digitization of the collection, full-page access is now available for all materials.

Founded in 1864, MAD Paris is one of France's leading cultural institutions dedicated to the decorative arts and is located in the Pavillon de Marsan, the northwestern wing of the Palais du Louvre in Paris' 1st arrondissement. With a collection of approximately one million objects, the museum is recognized as the largest museum of decorative arts in continental Europe.
