The 1st Shunga Project to celebrate

Shunga Books and Prints in Context

Exhibition

"Shunga Books and Prints in Context"

The Shunga Exhibition that will accompany the symposium will display a wide range of representative works, showing works from Kyoto and Osaka, as well as Edo, and works that relate to other genres such as Kabuki and literature. It is a great opportunity to see a variety of original shunga books and prints.

Also as part of this project we have created a web exhibition. Some items not able to be displayed at the exhibition will be available on the website. Please have a look at these.
