2014年祇園祭から、50年ぶりに後祭が復活し、150年前に焼失した大船鉾が見事に復興しました。このポスターでは、現在、過去。未来の山鉾巡行を、古地図、風俗画、古写真などを通して紹介します。この一部は、「バーチャル京都」Webで見ることもできます。

In the Gion festival 2014, the Atomatsuri procession was restored after half a century, and Ofune Hoko also revived after time of 150 years. We virtually enjoy the present, past and future Yamahoko Processions on this poster based on old maps, old paintings and old photos.

「デジタル・アーカイブ手法を用いた近代染織資料の整理と活用」

近代染織資料は、散在し、未整理のものが大半であり、近代染織を研究するためには、資料調査が必要不可欠である。そこで、本研究では、資料整理や調査を進めつつ、資料・情報を蓄積していく場の構築を進めている。ここで、これまでの活動を報告する。
"Organization and Utilization of Modern Printed Textile Research Materials through the Method of Digital Archiving"

While Kyoto is rich in modern printed textile materials, most of them have remained unsurveyed. This research project intends to change the current situation by conducting basic survey of the materials, as well as establishing a research hub to accumulate the materials and their information. This poster explains our research activities so far.

「近代京都の市街地の形成と建築様式・用途との関連性に関する研究」

本研究は、明治以降、とりわけ三大事業以降の京都の市街地の変遷過程を地域ごとに空間的に把握し、その背景となった社会経済状況、及びそうした社会活動の受け皿としての学区や地域、さらには住宅・建築様式等との関係性を総合的に把握することで、近代京都の市街地形成を史的に整理・解明する。本報告はその事例として西陣および周辺地区を取り上げたものである。

「近世近代期京都の地誌・案内記を対象としたデジタルアトラスの構築」

本研究は、近世から近代への移行期の京都における、地誌・案内記類の画像データベースと、地理情報システム(GIS)の管理・分析機能と連携させることで、オンライン上で主要産業のGIS地図と資料画像を閲覧することができるデジタルアトラスを構築することを目指すものである。
"Construction of a Digital Atlas of Topographic Documents and Guidebooks in the Early Modern Period and Modern Period of Kyoto"
Research Leader: Tokushima University, Associate Professor, Akihiro Tsukamoto
This project aims at constructing a digital atlas of early-modern and modern Kyoto. For this purpose, we will first build an image database of topographic directories and guidebooks of Kyoto between the 17th and 20th centuries, and then link the database with various functions of GIS. By doing so, this atlas can provide visual information of major industries in Kyoto, their GIS maps and digital images.

「浮世絵技法の復元的研究のための光計測・画像解析基盤技術の創出」

Ukiyo-e print is a traditional Japanese art that has been flourished since Edo period. The production technologies of Ukiyo-e print in Edo period, however, still unclear. In this study, we reveal the production technologies of Ukiyo-e print by advanced optics/photonics and information and communication technologies, and will find a new aspect of beauty in Ukiyo-e print.

「日本伝統芸能サイトJPARCのリニューアルと新コンテンツ」

国際芸術データベース(GloPAD)から派生した日本伝統芸能サイト「JPARC」は、非日本語母語話者に向け、伝統芸能の知識を提供することを目的としている。現在は、今夏に予定されているWEBサイトリニューアルオープンに向け、室町時代末期の能演者、観世小次郎信光に関連した新しいコンテンツの作成中である。その中核を為すのが信光作の「船弁慶」の二カ国語インタラクティブ・テキストとARCで行ったワークショップの映像であり、今回はその一部を発表する。なお、目下開発中のインタラクティブ・テキストのシステムは、演劇以外の文学や芸術といった他のジャンルにも汎用性があると言える。
「Archiving and Utilization of Japanese Performing Arts Materials on GloPAD (Global Performing Arts Database) and JPARC (Japanese Performing Arts Resource Center) 」
JPARC is part of the Global Performing Arts Consortium and draws on its multi-lingual database on Performing Arts (GloPAD) to stimulate education and research in Japanese performing arts. Presently we are adding a module on the late Muromachi playwright Kanze Kojirō Nobumitsu including a bilingual interactive text of Funa Benkei (Benkei on the Boat) with multimedia material. The video of the dances was taken at an ARC workshop and edited at ARC. The underlying database system for the interactive text provides a universal format that can be applied to other literary texts.

「中世語彙画像対照データベースの構築に関する基礎研究」

デジタル環境の発達は、歴史や文学などの分野における古典の研究に新たな可能性と、かつてない課題をもたらした。本研究は、絵巻解読や研究の基礎環境を整えること目指し、これまで存在しなかった内容や様式の情報を作成しようとする。とりわけ同じテーマをめぐる詞書と画像という異なる表現媒体を併せ持つ絵巻の構成に着目し、中世の語彙と画像との対照を明らかにし、デジタル環境を用いる縦横に検索するリソースを研究者や絵巻の読者に提供する。

The rapid development of the digital environment has brought us numerous possibilities and challenges to research on classical materials in history and literature fields. This project aims to establish basic research method, and to create knowledge resource which never existed by now. Particularly focusing on the fundamental structure of medieval picture scrolls which presents stories with mediums of picture and text, we will show links between medieval vocabulary and narrative painting, prepare digital tools for researchers and scroll readers.
