@TerryBrival - The 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games is 36 months away yet projects are ahead of schedule.

Lord Coe, chairman from the London Organising Committee told BBC News they have met all 10 milestones the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) had looking for this stage with the preparations.

"We really are a small bit further in front of bang on target. Not only is this project on course however it will in fact deliver some extraordinary prizes," Coe added.

"When I delivered our bid towards the International Olympic Committee in Singapore four years ago, a central part of our commitment would have been to seize the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of regenerating neglected east London, also to provide jobs, opportunities and hope for generations to come. And we're doing that," he wrote.

UK jobs inside the capital are benefiting from the developments and can continue doing so based on him.

"Our delivery partner, the Olympic Delivery Authority, has sought work worth more than 3.5 billion from 935 companies, in the end expect 75,000 business opportunities to get become available by 2012," he added. Even though recession could possibly be seen as the worst time ever for almost any country to host a costly event like the Olympics, there are lots of who believe that it may be damaged whipped cream surviving it.
