When the title of this article seems just a little odd for you, you might like to take just a couple minutes allow it a read. It isn't overly long but it Provides you with some understanding of why In my opinion that being yourself is important to as being a successful internet marketer. And of course if you don't understand what being yourself even means, you're definitely going to wish to check out what follows.

Okay, why don't we begin with much. Just what do I mean by "being yourself" as an affiliate marketer? In the end, it's not like we're trying to imitate some other famous internet marketer with the way we promote things, right? Or shall we be? Well, that seems to be the primary issue. There are plenty of clones nowadays, in case you haven't noticed. And while that isn't alone a bad thing (look at all the knockoffs that are successful) it can be if you fall under "the trap."

Ah, what's "the trap?" It's going about doing things mindlessly because Someone in particular marketer does it. I see this all time, like when so and so came out with the "add to cart" buttons rather than the "buy now" buttons that we accustomed to use. Suddenly, everybody and their grandmother was using add to cart buttons. And again, in and of itself, this isn't a bad thing. It might be bad whenever you do it just BECAUSE someone else does it. Quite simply, you didn't test, you don't currently test, you have no intention of testing and you simply run your sales letters with an increase cart button not really considering if doing so is really HURTING profits.

Well, it's the same thing with internet affiliate marketing. Sure, there are plenty of tactics that online marketers use that, on the surface, appear to be solid. And perhaps for them they ARE solid. But have you ever pause and think that the main reason these techniques work for them is due to Who they really are? One marketer I know has a very clever method of promoting other's products. He does it within the context of his newsletter and ties it to the content itself and just how the product can help you within that context.

Sure, lot's of individuals do this. I do that. However, many just do it BECAUSE Paul or somebody like Paul does it. They don't test the method out against other methods to see the things that work. You realize, sometimes just sending an individual an e-mail saying "Hey, I discovered this excellent product. Check it out!" can work wonders in the event that's what your unique list responds to. Many people join a list simply because they Desire to be pitched to. Others want information. Do you KNOW what YOUR list responds to? Maybe you have even bothered to test various methods or are you currently just doing ONE thing because that's what you saw Someone in particular affiliate marketer doing?

One thing I've learned, not just when affiliate marketing but as a marketer in general, is that it's very tough to be something you're not and not ruin doing it. Why? Because when you're being yourself, you don't have to consider it, much like I do not have to think about what I'm writing in the following paragraphs. It just flows out of me since this is who I am. Imagine Someone in particular Online marketer trying to write like Steven Wagenheim. Think he'll pull it off? He might. But he'll need to think about what he's doing a much more than I actually do due to the fact he isn't me.

There are many ways to promote affiliate products. You can do product reviews, send emails, use Adwords or even only use person to person. But if you're TRULY going to have success with your internet affiliate marketing campaign, the best method will be yourself.
