Myomas are non cancerous tumors that are commonly found in the uterus. It is a condition that affects almost 75% of women, especially women in their 30's and 40's.
Just recently, I was experiencing abdominal pains and headaches, so I chose to consult my doctor. A doctor did a few tests, CT scans, and located multiple cysts in my uterus. Hearing the term "tumor", I acquired scared, because the condition was very a new comer to me and my loved ones. A doctor was kind enough to let me know the details. According to him, uterine tumors or myomas are completely normal in women following childbirth. They tend to develop throughout the reproductive years, due to the increase in estrogen levels. I calmed down knowing that these tumors are in fact not cancerous.
There are different treating myoma, some doctors prescribe only medicines. In my case, a doctor recommended surgery since the tumors were causing discomfort and occasional pain. Personally, I prefer not have surgery when there is an alternative. But anyway, I trust my doctor, so I continued to have Myomectomy. Before the surgery, I was necessary to eat well, and was not permitted to eat at least 8 hours before the operation. While the preparation was with enough contentration, the particular operation ran smoothly. I was given anesthesia also it was very quick. I did not feel a thing. I had been always the weak type, but just after A couple of days, I was able to get up and that i felt a lot better, as though nothing happened. The operation would be a total success and that i thank my doctor for the excellent job.
I believe that uterine tumors are very present with us women, and we must face it eventually. So if you think you've Myoma, please talk to your doctor immediately. It's not really something you have to hesitate of. Just be sure you choose your doctor carefully. Having a good doctor will make sure a quick and smooth recovery.
