Living in a remote place offers the opportunity to observe the ways in which time behaves, a chance to reflect on our place in the cosmos, inspiring a dialogue with the temporal and transient nature of our impermanence. My printmaking practice is a way to engage with place and time, to ground myself in the present. I use earth and mineral pigments on handmade washi. I also use handmade paper for mokuhanga as well as for installations with natural dyes.

人里離れた場所で暮らすことは、「時間」がどのように振る舞うかを観察し、宇宙における自らの存在を見つめ直す機会を与えてくれます。そうした体験は、私たちの「無常」という時間的・儚い性質との対話を促してくれます。私の版画制作は、「場所」と「時間」と関わるための方法であり、自身を"今この瞬間"に根づかせるための営みです。制作では、手漉きの和紙に土や鉱物の顔料を用いています。手漉きの紙は、木版画や自然染料を使ったインスタレーション作品にも使用しています。
