【自己紹介文 Short bio】
As curator of prints and drawings at the Fitzwilliam Museum I am responsible for the care, interpretation and display of around 125,000 objects, including around an important collection of ukiyo-e prints and surimono.

フィッツウィリアム美術館の版画・ドローイング部門のキュレーターとして、浮世絵や摺物を含む約12万5,000点の作品の保存、解釈、展示を担当しています。

【参加にあたっての抱負 Aims for taking part】
I hope to gain a greater insight into washi papermaking, to better understand the materialities of different papers and how they behave in printing. This workshop will help inform a future digitization project focused on an archive of Japanese makers & materials.

今回のワークショップを通じて、和紙の製作工程について理解を深め、さまざまな紙の素材的特性や刷りへの影響をより深く学びたいと考えています。今後、日本の作家および素材に関するアーカイブのデジタル化プロジェクトを予定しており、今回の経験が役立つと期待しています。
