【自己紹介文 Short bio】
デジタル写真を使用しながらも彫刻刀での彫りやばれんでの摺りなど、手を介した手法にこだわった木版画を制作。近年は和紙や墨、顔料など材料が持つ特性や文化を積極的に学び制作活動に活かしている。海外でのワークショップや滞在制作も多数行なっている。

I create woodblock prints that, while sometimes incorporating digital photography, remain rooted in hands-on techniques such as carving with chisels and printing with baren. In recent years, I have actively studied the characteristics and cultural significance of materials such as washi, sumi ink, and pigments, applying this knowledge to my practice. I have also conducted numerous workshops and residencies overseas.

【参加にあたっての抱負 Aims for taking part】
これまでも和紙にこだわり木版画を制作してきましたが、まだまだ訪れていない和紙の産地があります。和紙の生産者さんたちとの対話を通して更なる素材への理解を深め、継続的な和紙の使用、木版画の普及に繋げることができればと思っています。

Although I have long focused on using washi in my work, there are still many washi-producing regions I have yet to visit. Through dialogue with washi producers, I hope to deepen my understanding of these materials and contribute to the continued use of washi and the broader dissemination of woodblock printing.
