Objectives and Plans that You Applied: 本研究は、1902年撮影の京都市町の映像など、アメリカ議会図書館の所蔵する日本関連の初期映画を、デジタル画像（静止画）で一定間隔ごとに撮影し、これをGCOE内の各研究班における日本近代の研究と関連づけるため、GCOE内での制限付公開をおこなうものである。調査対象のフィルムは、20本を予定している。

Objectives and Plans that You Applied: 大英博物館には日本から流出した一級の浮世絵資料が収蔵されている。館蔵資料は初期～近代までの浮世絵を含む一大コレクションであり、これらのデジタル・アーカイブを構築し、ARCの浮世絵データベースに加えることは、当該拠点の研究基盤増強に直接作用する。また制作する画像コンテンツは大英博物館によるWEB公開が具体的に検討されており、浮世絵研究界の世界的なボトムアップにつながるものである。
