Tour operators sri lanka - And then we made a decision to tour Sri Lanka, but where to start and how much would it not cost. We wanted to make our budget work for us and obtain us through the six weeks we planned to stay.

We had two tours planned and also the remaining time we might stay in Colombo and soak up the culture.

Such a disaster.

We did everything on the web. We knew simply how much we wanted to invest in meals and accommodation and then we got on line, reviewed the places generating our booking. For both tours.

Of course we booked ourselves a vehicle and driver as well for both these tours, also online.

And then we arrived together our first stint in Colombo and also the day of our first tour arrived. Our driver and vehicle arrived. So we set off. The driving experience is something else altogether. NEVER attempt to drive yourself in Sri Lanka - i was warned hence we had a vehicle and driver.

Tour operators sri lanka - I'm able to remember driving up to our first accommodation - the looks on our faces dropped. The wife was devastated and our grown up daughters were never going to be comfy. I swear it was a brothel or employed for those purposes as well. What a disaster.

And thats when the tour changed for all of us and also the magic started.

Our tour guide/driver came to the rescue. He saw and understood the apprehension in us and immediately ordered an inspection of the hotel. We told him we were unhappy and he went and spoke to the hotelier and sorted out. Booking canceled. Then took us to several other accommodation sites for inspection. All 3 and 4 star. Very suitable and also to western standards and many types of within our budget range. We simply picked the accommodation i was satisfied with.

And also this had become the pattern throughout the tour.

He took us on Safari, found us safari drivers, wonderful local eateries, quality resorts and accommodation, he went looking for and located incredible little shops and brought a real local flavour to the tour. History, culture, people, places, cuisine and everything else.

His time effort, meals, accommodation, diligent humble insightful want to us was all part of the deal and within the price. Incredible!

Tour operators sri lanka - On return from my first tour we cancelled everthing for your second tour and planned the subsequent tour with him. Tea country, worlds end, elephant safari, elephant rides, shopping, Yala jungle preserve and also on as well as on...

Oh and lest I forget, we booked another visit to Sri Lanka and asked him to exercise the tour including the Kandy Perehara. Among the worlds most spectacular events as well as i was treated towards the best seats in the parade.
