In noh, nanori (名乗) is a shōdan.

Nanori is the performance of a character announcing his name and introducing themselves. During the nanori characters often provide the audience with some background to situation that is about to be staged. Conventionally the nanori is performed by shite or shite-tsure while standing at the upstage right corner of the stage. This location on the noh stage is called nanori-za (also called jōza) next to the shite pillar. Waki perform nanori at waki-za or, in some cases, at the center of the stage. Nanori can be be spoken (kotoba) or sung.
