What's the Premise of the Television show Dexter

His mother Laura, was brutally murdered in front of him and the older brother Brian, and both were left for several days lying inside a pool of the mother's blood. The brothers were eventually rescued by Harry Morgan, a Miami detective who she's been having an affair with. Harry believed Brian was too psychologically damaged and sent him into the proper care of the state but took Dexter home to raise as their own.
It soon became clear that Dexter too have been psychologically damaged, actually, he would be a psychopath. Dismayed with the justice system, Harry carefully trained Dexter to use his need to kill for the common good, teaching him how to murder without getting caught and how to live among society being completely without any emotions and feelings.
Within the TV Show, Dexter lives by his father, Harry's 'code' and rids the streets of Miami of murderers who've escaped justice. His position inside the Miami Police Department allows him use of information as well as an honest salary, but it is his night time killings which are his true purpose for living. However, along the way, he encounters many problems and hiccups that threaten to unmask him and lead him to jail himself.
Together with his tomboy adoptive sister, Debra Morgan, played by Jennifer Carpenter, a Miami Detective, the TV Show Dexter follows the title character because he struggles to juggle his day time and evening activities, his family, his girlfriend and the code of Harry. The TV show Dexter is a drama masterpiece and a must see for anyone who likes just a little intelligence in the entertainment.
