Research activities: Overview and implications: ・AAG Annual Meeting 2012(2012年2月24日~28日、New York、USA)で口頭発表 The AAG Annual Meeting is an interdisciplinary forum open to anyone with an interest in geography and related disciplines. I made an oral presentation titled "The digital museum of Gion Festival using Virtual Kyoto" in Februray 27, in which our latest progress is introduced. ・IEEE Virtual Reality 2012(2012年3月4日~8日、Orange County、USA)でポスター発表 IEEE VR 2012 is the premier international conference and exhibition on virtual reality. I made a poster presentation (with a one minute fast-forward oral presentation) titled "Vibration reproduction for a virtual Yamahoko Parade system".

Progress and effects in your overall research plan and objectives: We introduced our researches of "Virtual Kyoto" and "Virtual Yamahoko Parade" that are among the main topics of our GCOE project in international conferences of AAG Annual Meeting and IEEE Virtual Reality Conference. Both are top-level conferences in their fields. It allows us to introduce our researches overseas as well as get feedbacks and new ideas from other researchers.
