Research activities: Overview and implications: ・メリーランド大学カレッジパーク校において行われた「Digital Humanities 2009」に参加するため、2009年6月20日から26日まで海外出張をした。
・6月23日のPoster Session #3で「Text and Pictures in Japanese Historical Document」のタイトルでポスター発表を行った。
Progress and effects in your overall research plan and objectives: ・本研究は、主に漢字からなる資料を対象として、テキストとイメージとを関連付けようとするものであるが、Hugh Cayless氏の「Image as Markup: Adding semantics to manuscript Images」や、Peter A. Stokes氏の「Computer-aided Palaeography, Present and Future」など、（漢字資料ではないが）テキストとイメージとを関連付ける発表があった。これらはSVG, XMLなどの技術を使用している点が本研究とは異なっており、今後、このような方向への対応も視野に入れておく必要があると考えた。
・台湾大学の何浩洋氏等と意見交換し、資料内のここの文字について詳細なデータを管理し、画像で確認できることの有用性を確認できたが、日本語のインターフェースでは海外の研究者は理解が出来ない（漢字圏の台湾であっても）ため、これを用意するとともに、12月に台湾大学で行われる「International Conference of Digital Archives and Digital Humanities」で、本研究を応用した訓点情報の整理・共有に関する発表を目指す。
