Aikata is a kind of Geza ongaku. A Shamisen music comes up without a chant in association with opening/closing of the stage curtain , the character's on/off the stage, or a certain line/action. Sometimes Narimono is used in depending on a scene. for the sake of promoting appropriate atmosphere or as a stage effect.
