Title: A Clear Day with a Southern Breeze （Gaifu kaisei 凱風快晴)　

Date: undated, probably late 1831

Signature: Hokusai aratame Iitsu hitsu 前北斎為一筆

Notes: The mountain in the earliest impressions of this stately print is printed a delicate light brown with a large expanse of green at the foot. The clouds are light blue, the block unevenly inked and printed, and the peak is set offwith dark blue shading. The print came to be known as 'Red Fuji' because a dark reddish-brown was commonly used for later impressions.
