Applications for the 2011 second-semester Organizational Overseas Program for Young Researchers (the Great Voyage Program) now open (deadline: 17:00, July 21)

We are now inviting applications for the 2011 second-semester (October to March) Organizational Overseas Program for Young Researchers (the Great Voyage Program) with the purpose of sending young researchers overseas.

[Eligibility]

Any candidate that meets either of the following requirements:

1. Currently a Ritsumeikan Univeristy undergraduate student, postgraduate student, research assistant, Postdoctoral fellow, assistant teacher, assistant professor, or lecturer.

2. Special researchers (DC, PD) of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) who are accepted at the Ritsumeikan University

[Purpose of Program]

Please select from research, survey, internship, seminar participation and conference representation.

Applicant wishing only to use poster display at a conference without verbal presentation or only for attending a conference overseas will not be accepted.

 

[Period of Program]

Departure between October 1, 2011 and March 31, 2012, on a short-term to up to 1-year stay.

(In the case of over 2 months, the departure must be by the end of January 2012).

In light of the purpose of this program, the period shall be mid to long-term stay of over 2 months (60 days including the days of embarkation from and disembarkation in Japan) is preferable, with priority given first to Postdoctoral fellows, assistants, assistant teachers and lecturers.

Short-term: about 30 / Mid to long-term: about 10

1. Time and date:        17:00, Thursday, July 21, 2011 *Deadline must be observed.

2. Place: Ritsumeikan University Research Office (2F, Shugakukan, Kinugasa Campus)
